Copperloy Portable Loading Ramp

The average freight-loading warehouse or facility hinges its productivity and efficiency on its equipment. Loading equipment is one of the most important aspects of a loading dock operations. The quality of the equipment influences how the facility functions overall. Your facility needs tools that are reliable, functional, and safe while also improving your productivity. If your equipment doesn’t meet these standards, your facility could suffer greatly in terms of efficiency. Portable loading ramps experience an extreme workload in the average warehouse; therefore, you need ramps that can handle forklifts loading and unloading all day long. Copperloy specializes in designing and manufacturing ramps that can withstand tremendous workloads. They lead in the industry in quality by focusing on the enhancement of longevity, reliability, and safety with all their products.

Portable Loading Dock Ramps

Portable Loading Ramps are used in tandem with Copperloy’s dock-to-ground or mobile loading ramps. These forms of equipment are best for situations where there is limited space, no permanent facility, or parallel loading on carriers or docks. This material handling equipment is for sale exclusively in steel.

A portable loading ramp, also known as a movable loading dock, allows your lift trucks to make right angle turns easily. These ramps can be customized to fit your unique requirements. Copperloy offers fixed heights from 42 inches to 57 inches, and they offer weight capacities up to 60,000 pounds. Also, these ramps have side plates made from A572-50 steel, which increases durability.

If you connect two or more portable loading ramps, they can form larger overall ramps. Each of these ramps comes with a steel grating for traction, steel legs, two movable curbs, and lift sleeves for safe access for forklifts. Edge-of-dock levelers can also be installed on any side of the ramp. This ensures functionality with your existing vehicles, equipment, and installations. Furthermore, steel grating bars do not require maintenance and are designed to allow debris and water to fall through them, rather than pooling on the surface.

Features of the Copperloy Portable Loading Ramp

Copperloy’s portable loading ramps have many features to increase functionality and efficiency:

  • 8-Foot Level Off: The issue of forklift access to ramps has been causing problems for warehouses for many years. Copperloy has put a lot of time into solving this all-too-common issue. The 8-foot level off on their ramps makes accessing ramps by forklift much easier and safer.
  • Hydraulic Pump Location: Other yard ramps position their hydraulic hand pump in an inconvenient location, unnecessarily increasing the difficulty for the operator. Copperloy has addressed this problem by relocating the hand pump to the outside of their ramps. In this new position, the hand pump is not only much easier to access, but it is also protected from dirt and damage.
  • Low End Plate and Safety Curb: In addition to the 8-foot level off, Copperloy has developed other solutions to the issue of forklift ramp access. These two features are the low-end plate and the 7-inch safety curb. The low-end plate’s height is much shorter than a forklift’s wheelbase; thus, the forklift’s front wheels can gain traction on the steel grating while the back wheels stay on the ground. The 7-inch safety curb prevents runoff, and when these two are combined, they substantially improve safety, functionality, and efficiency.
  • Solid/Pneumatic Tires: Air-filled ramp tires require excessive refilling and maintenance, which is a waste of company time and resources. Copperloy, however, designs their ramps with solid/pneumatic tires that have lubricated bearings. These tires are virtually maintenance-free and have comparable flexibility to their air-filled counterparts.

Any warehouses in need of more reliable equipment should consider Copperloy’s portable loading ramps, yard ramps, and other loading dock products. You can rely on their products to increase productivity and safety.
